Its ingredients comprise of non-GMO soybeans, rice, and salt. This means that this miso paste is not only gluten-free, but also vegan-friendly.

I used the Tomoe Hokkaido White Miso Paste in a simple soup, and it was excellent. The flavor is mild, slightly sweet, and well-balanced—not overpowering at all.
